WOEF Scholarships for WSU Lake Campus

Students considering the Lake Campus are strongly encouraged to complete this application which will allow them to be considered for over 200 scholarships! The application deadline is February 1, 2026. Students must be admitted in order to have access to the WOEF Scholarship application.  Admitted students can access the application at http://lake.wright.edu/woefscholarships.

MED Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants must be pursuing a career in a health care field and must have a 23 on the ACT and a 3.5 gpa on a 4.0 scale.

Due Date: March 1st, 2026.

Leitzell Family Foundation Agricultural Scholarship

The Leitzell Family Scholarship is intended for graduating seniors who have an interest in the field of agriculture or horticulture, have had active participation in 4-H, FFA, Scouts, etc. and plan to continue in these fields in some sort of post-secondary education.  Applications are due March 1st and are available in Mrs. Kanney's office.

Coldwater Academic Promoters Scholarship

CAP is awarding scholarships in the amount of $2,000 and $1,000.  Scholarships will be awarded to 4 year college bound seniors and (1) $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior planning to attend a tech or trade school.  To be eligible for the 4 year college scholarship students must have maintained a 8.0 gpa on a 12.0 scale and to be eligible for the 2 year scholarship students must have maintained a 5.0 gpa on a 12.0 scale. Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due March 1, 2026.

D.A.R.E. Scholarship

The D.A.R.E. Boosters are awarding (10) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who have remained true to their D.A.R.E. commitment.  Applications are due February 19th and are available in Mrs. Kanney's office.

The Mercer County Aktion Club Scholarship

The Mercer County Aktion Club will be awarding (2) $500 scholarships to a graduating senior who has a disablility, a sibling with a disability or is pursuing a special education degree.  Applicants can choose any field of study at any 4 year, 2year, tech or trade school.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due Feb. 23, 2026

Buzzard's Glory Community Club Scholarship

BGCC will be awarding (1) $2,000 and (1) $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing any type of post secondary education.  Applications are due March 6th and are available in Mrs. Kanney's office.

Roman and Mary Rauh Scholarship

This scholarship is open to the top 10 students in the graduating class.  Applications are due March 1st and are available in Mrs. Kanney's office. 

Minster Dental Care Scholarship

Minster Dental Care is awarding (2)  $1,000 scholarships to students with the following qualifications: must be an active patient of Minster Dental, planning to enroll in a 4 year college, pursuing a dental or medical field, gpa of 3.5 on a 4.0 or higher, ACT score of 23 or higher and must gave extracurricular and community involvement.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due FEB. 25th.

Leigha Wieman Memorial Scholarship

The Leigha Wieman Memorial Scholarship is a $500 scholarship given to a graduating senior who has been involved in the music area at least one year or a cheerleader for at least one year.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due April 1.

Midmark Technical Scholarship

Midmark will be awarding three $10,000 technical scholarships + 2 paid co-op opportunities to students pursuing a bachelors degree in engineering or IT. Additionally, we also added one $5,000 Technical Scholarship + 1 paid co-op opportunity that is available for students pursuing a degree in engineering or IT. Finally, there will be a $2,500 award for students pursuing a degree in computer science/engineering or electrical engineering. These are great opportunities for students to get their foot in the door at a local company.

Coldwater Teachers' Organization Scholarships

Applicants must be graduating seniors who are pursuing a major in the field of education.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due March 1, 2026. 

The Knights of Columbus Fr. Yauss Scholarship – (6) $500

Applicants must be a member in good standing, be the son/daughter of a member, or if the father is deceased and was a member.  Applicants must also be a member of a Catholic parish. Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due March 2nd.

OSU Mercer County Alumni Association Scholarship

Ohio State Mercer County Alumni Association will have 2 scholarships to award this year to seniors attending high school in Mercer County. To be eligible, students need to “apply” to OSU (acceptance is not required) before November 1.   The online scholarship application opens December 1.    Applications are due by Feb. 15th.

Larry Fair Memorial Scholarship

A $1500 scholarship will be awarded to a Coldwater Senior pursuing a 4 year degree in Education.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's Office and are due March 27, 2026.

Wabash Mutual Telephone Scholarship

This scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors with a 2.5 gpa or higher that receive local services from Wabash.  The deadline is March 1, 2026 and the application can be found at www.wabash.com/scholarship.

The Mercer County Civic Foundation

The Mercer County Civic Foundation awards more than 80 scholarships to local high school seniors, including a handful of scholarships that are specific to Coldwater High School graduates. Awards up to $5,000 are available. The application process is on-line at Mercercountycivicfdn.org. Under the scholarship tab you will find a list of available scholarships and information on how to apply. 

Coldwater Common Form Scholarships

The following scholarships are a part of the Common Form application:

Coldwater Kiwanis, Elizabeth Homan Memorial, Desch-Sowar Family, Don Luken Memorial, Red Luken Memorial, Bob and Mary Anne Oppenhiem, Kathy Schenking Memorial, Henry and Rose Schroer, Willhoff Fmaily, Smith/Turner, Tekamp Memorial and Dr. Emerita and Henry Schutle.

These applications are handed out to each senior and are due March 1st.

 

 

Mercer County Fairgrounds Scholarship

The Mercer County Fairgrounds is offering (2) $1,000 scholarships to Mercer County graduates who are members of a Mercer County 4-H Club, FFA, Boy or Girl Scout Club, and maintained a 2.0 gpa or higher.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due March 20, 2026.

Midwest Electric Scholarships

 12 children of members will be awarded scholarships who are the child or legal ward of a Midwest Electric residential member living in a residence receiving electricity from the cooperative.  They will also award one trade school or technical college scholarship to a student who will be attending an accredited trade school or technical college after high school.  Applications must be submitted and typed to be accepted on the forms provided and submitted to the Midwest Electric office by Friday, February 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.


Mercy Health Scholarship

Mercy Health- St. Rita's Medical Center will award (10) $1,500 scholarships to high achieving high school seniors in the surrounding area who plan to major in a medical-related field of study.  Applications are available in Mrs. Kanney's office and are due February 6, 2026.
